Shattered

.."but I know, all I know its the end's beginning"...

Shattered, across my loneliness I bumped into this song and yet again, found myself identifying with the lyrics of the song. There's so many words I wanted to edit just for the sake of personalization. It emulates a person's survival out of life's cruelty. It molds how that person thought while in vain, while he was hurt. I just simply appreciated the song like everything else here in the blog. Instantly it has become a part of the Music and Lyrics family.

Its melody plus the genius lyrics, (for me), makes it one of my fave.

My Immortal

"Im so tired of being here"

I used to sing this song with my eldest daughter and somehow, that time she loved the melody and the moment she was singing it with me..
Its just recent that due to circumstances, made me focus more on the lyrics and listen to what it would actually suggest... ironically, again, like most songs when you are sad you tend to identify your dilemma with them, that suggest the way or where you are right now

a little bit of this script and a little bit of that.. thats how your mind appreciate the music, a variety of artists able to identify their music to your personal life

My version of it: my pain, still haunting me, still killing me inside even though I know and I can see that its in front of me yet I have no means to end it, no way inside of me to shove and be free, no courage because I love beyond what kills me...

I'm so tired of being here, suppressed by all my childish fears
And if you have to leave, I wish that you would just leave
Your presence still lingers here and it won't leave me alone

These wounds won't seem to heal, this pain is just too real
There's just too much that time cannot erase

When you cried, I'd wipe away all of your tears
When you'd scream, I'd fight away all of your fears
And I held your hand through all of these years
But you still have all of me

You used to captivate me by your resonating light
Now, I'm bound by the life you left behind
Your face it haunts my once pleasant dreams
Your voice it chased away all the sanity in me

These wounds won't seem to heal, this pain is just too real
There's just too much that time cannot erase

When you cried, I'd wipe away all of your tears
When you'd scream, I'd fight away all of your fears
And I held your hand through all of these years
But you still have all of me

I've tried so hard to tell myself that you're gone
But though you're still with me, I've been alone all along

When you cried, I'd wipe away all of your tears
When you'd scream, I'd fight away all of your fears
And I held your hand through all of these years
But you still have all of me, me, me

Gravity by Sarah Bareilles

"...one thing that I still know, is that you're keeping me... down..."

When I first heard this, I was not sure how to decipher it as a happy song or a sad song. Well, obviously it has the marking melody of the sad song but some lyrics tend to settle on the good part. If you read and listen to the lyrics closely you would see that the composer was not actually mad or upset about the situation. She even had some good praises to whom she was referring to. It's like complaining yet stubbornly still with the person. And thus brilliantly she dubbed it 'GRAVITY"

Its an ironic song for my part since the composer is suggesting that she is madly in love with the person yet find it so hard to move on or go on since well, because she's in love. All the things you're inclined to do to move on seems to be ineffective because you're to stubborn to admit that you actually love the person and that for some reason as the lyrics suggested "something always brings me back to you..it never takes to long"

I think its a struggle for closure. A struggle to move on and get with life. To go and live the life without that significant person. As hard as it is, I kinda sympathize as to how hard that is.

GRAVITY by Sara Bareilles

Something always brings me back to you.
It never takes too long.
No matter what I say or do
I still feel you here 'til the moment I'm gone.

You hold me without touch.
You keep me without chains.
I never wanted anything so much
than to drown in your love and not feel your reign.

Set me free, leave me be.
I don't want to fall another moment into your gravity.
Here I am and I stand so tall,
just the way I'm supposed to be.
But you're on to me and all over me.

You loved me 'cause I'm fragile.
When I thought that I was strong.
But you touch me for a little while
and all my fragile strength is gone.

I live here on my knees
as I try to make you see
that everything I think I need
is here on The ground.

But you're neither friend nor foe
though I can't seem to let you go.
The one thing that I still know
is that you're keeping me down

Something always brings me back to you
It never takes to long

Dreaming with a Broken Heart

"..when your dreaming with a broken heart.. the giving up is the hardest part..."

I've run to this song when some friend of mine re-introduced me to John Mayer. I've been a fan of J. Meyer since 'Your Body is a Wonderland' but never really followed his career through the years. I'm one of those 'when you hear become a fan' type of person. It just so happened that I'm in a bit of a depressive state. Was skimming to the Battle Plan album and found some previous tracks and got interested with the title. I was right out attached to the melody and to my delight, it was not some overreacting love song with a nice tempo. J-may you're a genius! I would've thought that all of this was not of his but then again I'm wrong to find out that he does compose his stuffs. How naive of me.. Everything said in the song was brutally true..it just suggested differently to some for variants, like when A man loses the love of his life, or betrayed, or a son losing his mom, or a parent losing a daughter, those kinds of differences. But all emotions on losing are to connected to the song, plus the melody which really makes a person with a faint of heart cry..

Dreaming with a Broken Heart by John Mayer

When you're dreaming with a broken heart
The waking up is the hardest part
You roll outta bed and down on your knees
And for a moment you can hardly breathe
Wondering was she really here?
Is she standing in my room?
No she's not, 'cause she's gone, gone, gone, gone, gone....

When you're dreaming with a broken heart
The giving up is the hardest part
She takes you in with her crying eyes
Then all at once you have to say goodbye
Wondering could you stay my love?
Will you wake up by my side?
No she can't, 'cause she's gone, gone, gone, gone, gone....

Now do i have to fall asleep with roses in my hands
Do i have to fall asleep with roses in my hands?
Do i have to fall asleep with roses in my hands?
Do i have to fall asleep with roses in my , roses in my hands?

Would you get them if i did?
No you won't, 'cause you're gone, gone, gone, gone, gone....

When you're dreaming with a broken heart
The waking up is the hardest part
